DSISD rezoning — what's actually changed.

Dripping Springs ISD has rebalanced attendance zones to accommodate new schools and rapid enrollment growth. This page tracks the latest changes by community. Updated each cycle.

Always verify with DSISD before writing an offer.

This page is a working summary. Attendance is determined by your specific street and current district boundaries — use the official DSISD attendance lookup as the source of truth.

    01

    Headwaters Elementary now open

Families inside Headwaters now attend the on-site Headwaters Elementary, which absorbed the prior Walnut Springs assignment for that community. Verify your specific street if you're in an adjacent 78620 neighborhood.

    02

Double L Ranch Elementary — planned

A new elementary is planned for the Double L Ranch development. Once open, it will likely absorb portions of the current Walnut Springs and Cypress Springs attendance areas. Timing is fluid — confirm with DSISD before counting on assignment.

    03

    Belterra / Rooster Springs

Belterra → Rooster Springs Elementary continues unchanged. No active rezoning impacting this feeder pattern as of the current cycle.

    04

    Caliterra and Highpointe boundary edges

Boundary edges between Walnut Springs, Sycamore Springs, and Cypress Springs feeders have been adjusted in recent cycles. If you're shopping on the edges of Caliterra or Highpointe, verify with the district lookup before writing an offer.

    05

Sycamore Springs MS continues to absorb 78737 growth

Sycamore Springs Middle remains the primary growth-absorber for the 78737 corridor (Belterra, Highpointe, Parten Ranch, Reunion Ranch). No additional middle school is currently announced.
